1. Can the Shaadi app run on any BlackBerry phone?
This app will only run on devices with OS version 4.3 and above. This would include most of the devices currently in
the market such as the Torch, Tour, Bold, Curve, Storm, and Pearl.
To locate your OS version, go to 'Settings' > 'Options' > 'About'.
2. I am not a registered Shaadi user. Can I use this app?
The Shaadi app does not support registration at the moment. You need to register at www.shaadi.com before you
can use the app.
3. The 'Members Near Me' search does not work on my BlackBerry. Why is that?
The 'Members Near Me' search requires:
(a) Your BlackBerry to have a GPS. All BlackBerry devices with OS version 5 and above come along with a GPS.
(b) The 'Use my location' option to be checked in the 'Settings' screen.
4. Will my location ever be disclosed to anyone in the 'Members Near Me' search?
We value your concerns more than anything else. Your actual location will never be revealed to any other Shaadi.com
member. It will only be used to search for other members in your vicinity.
5. How does the 'Members Near Me' search work?
The 'Members Near Me' search determines your current location and executes a search for other members with the
BlackBerry app who have chosen to share their location, fit your search criteria and are within the selected distance.
The results will also include other Shaadi.com members who are in the same vicinity as you are.
6. Why don't I see any results in the 'Members Near Me' search?
The search results depend on your location. If you are in a remote location, there is a good chance that no other
members are around.
7. Is it possible to upgrade to a premium membership from the app?
Currently, the Blackberry application does not support payments. To upgrade to a premium membership, you will
have to log into www.shaadi.com. Alternatively, you can call us at 1-860-500-3456 for assistance.
8. I am facing problems while using this app. What can I do?
